Connecting Stripe to Skopx gives you AI-powered revenue analytics, subscription tracking, and payment insights through natural language queries. Ask questions about your business revenue in plain English and get answers drawn directly from your live Stripe data.

Prerequisites

Before connecting Stripe:

  • A Skopx account (free tier or above)
  • A Stripe account with live or test mode data
  • Admin or developer access in your Stripe dashboard
  • Your AI API key configured in Skopx settings

Step-by-Step Setup

Step 1: Access Integrations

Log in to Skopx and navigate to the Integrations tab.

Step 2: Find Stripe

Search for "Stripe" or browse the Payments category. Click the Stripe card.

Step 3: Authorize the Connection

Click "Connect Stripe." This opens Stripe's OAuth Connect flow. Review the permissions requested:

  • Read account data. Access to account settings and business information.
  • Read financial data. Access to charges, payments, invoices, subscriptions, and balance.
  • Read customer data. Access to customer records and payment methods (metadata only, not full card numbers).

Click "Connect" to authorize.

Step 4: Select Data Scope

After connecting, choose whether to include live mode data, test mode data, or both. For production analytics, select live mode. Test mode is useful for validating the integration before going live.

Step 5: Verify

Test with "What was our total revenue this month?" in the Skopx chat.

Security and Privacy

Stripe Connect OAuth

The integration uses Stripe's official Connect OAuth protocol. Skopx never sees your Stripe API keys directly. The connection uses scoped access tokens with read-only permissions.

No PCI-Sensitive Data

Skopx accesses transaction amounts, customer names, and subscription details. It does not access or store full card numbers, CVVs, or other PCI-sensitive data. Stripe's API does not expose this data to connected applications.

Read-Only Access

The integration performs read-only operations. Skopx cannot create charges, modify subscriptions, issue refunds, or make any changes to your Stripe account.

BYOK Data Flow

Financial data queried from Stripe is processed using your own AI API key. No payment data is retained by Skopx.

Revoking Access

Disconnect from the Skopx integrations page. In Stripe, go to Settings, then Connected Accounts (or Authorized Applications), and revoke the Skopx connection.

Troubleshooting

"Account not authorized" error

Ensure you have admin or developer permissions on the Stripe account. Users with restricted access may not be able to authorize third-party connections.

Test mode showing no data

If you connected in test mode but have no test transactions, you will see empty results. Either create test transactions or switch to live mode in the Stripe integration settings.

Historical data limitations

Stripe's API allows access to the full transaction history, but very old data (3 or more years) may take longer to query. Use date range filters to improve response times for historical queries.

Currency formatting

Stripe stores amounts in the smallest currency unit (cents for USD). Skopx automatically converts to standard format (dollars and cents). If you see unexpected amounts, verify the currency setting.

Advanced Configuration

Cross-Platform Revenue Intelligence

Stripe provides the most value when combined with other tools in Skopx:

  • Stripe plus Salesforce: "Match closed-won deals with actual Stripe payments"
  • Stripe plus HubSpot: "Show me the conversion rate from marketing leads to paying customers"
  • Stripe plus Google Calendar: "Correlate meeting activity with deal close rates"
  • Stripe plus Slack: "Alert the revenue channel when daily revenue exceeds the target"

Connecting Stripe with your CRM and marketing tools creates a complete picture of the revenue funnel, from first lead touch through payment. This eliminates the gap between "deal closed" in your CRM and "payment received" in Stripe, giving you ground-truth revenue data.

Next Steps

With Stripe connected, your finance and leadership team can ask revenue questions and get instant answers. Connect Salesforce or HubSpot next to build a complete revenue analytics stack, or add Gmail to correlate customer communications with payment patterns.
