Natural Language Queries

Skopx understands plain English. You do not need to know SQL, APIs, or any query language. Just describe what you want to know.

How It Works

When you type a question, Skopx:

  1. Identifies which data source(s) are relevant
  2. Generates the right query (SQL, API call, etc.)
  3. Runs the query and returns a human-readable answer
  4. Attaches citations so you can verify the data

Examples of Good Questions

Simple lookups:

  • "How many users signed up last week?"
  • "What is our current MRR?"
  • "List all open Jira tickets assigned to me."

Aggregations:

  • "What is the average response time for support tickets this month?"
  • "Show me total revenue by product for Q1 2025."
  • "How many commits were pushed to main per day last week?"

Comparisons:

  • "Compare signups this month vs last month."
  • "Which Slack channel has the most messages this week compared to last?"
  • "Is our average deal size going up or down?"

Trends:

  • "Show me the trend of daily active users over the last 90 days."
  • "How has our deploy frequency changed quarter over quarter?"
  • "Plot customer churn rate for the past 12 months."

Tips for Better Results

Include time ranges. "Last week" or "in January 2025" helps Skopx write a more precise query.

Be specific about metrics. Instead of "how are we doing," try "what is our weekly active user count."

Name things explicitly. If you have multiple databases or projects, mention which one: "in the analytics database, how many events were logged yesterday?"

Use natural phrasing. You can say "show me," "list," "how many," "what is the average," "compare," or "break down by." All work fine.
